Who We Are

Rhythmix Vocals & Production is a modern music school based in the City of Moonee Valley, founded in 2025 by director Faye Nikakis. We offer lessons in vocals, songwriting, and music production for students of all ages and skill levels, where beginners and aspiring artists alike can develop their unique sound and reach their full potential.

What We Do

At Rhythmix, we offer lessons in vocals, songwriting, and music production, carefully tailored to suit students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. Whether you’re taking your first steps in music or looking to refine your craft, our lessons are designed to support your individual goalsβ€”be it developing strong vocal technique, writing original songs, or building confidence as a performer.

As part of the Melbourne Music Hub, we collaborate on events, workshops, and programs with other schools, giving our students the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and grow alongside others within the local music community.

We strongly believe that growth doesn’t just happen in the classroom. Aside from our own twice-yearly showcases, we actively encourage and create real-world opportunities for our students to perform, connect, and gain experience within the music industry. From community events and local festivals to competitions and open mic nights across Melbourne, our students are given the chance to step on stage and apply what they’ve learned in a supportive, real-life setting.

At Rhythmix, our goal is to not only teach music, but to help students grow as confident, capable, and well-rounded artists.

Meet Your Coach

Let me introduce myself!

My name is Faye, a music educator and artist from Melbourne, and the proud director of Rhythmix Vocals & Production.

With nine years of experience, I’ve trained extensively in vocals, songwriting, and music production, specialising in contemporary vocal coaching and artist development for students of all ages and skill levels.

As a teenager, I immersed myself in musicβ€”competing in eisteddfods, entering national and international songwriting competitions, and completing vocal exams. I achieved one of the highest marks in Australia for Grade 8 Rockschool and earned a Certificate III in Music & Sound Production through COSAMP. In 2023, I performed and recorded in London and Italy, sharing the stage with members of Skunk Anansie, where I was recognised for tackling one of their most challenging songs. I also trained under Australian artist Tania Doko (Bachelor Girl) I have been a finalist in multiple songwriting competitions in Australia and the UK, and I continue to write, produce, and release my own original music.

In recent years, I discovered a passion for coachingβ€”helping students grow in confidence and skill. During my third year in music education, I decided to take control - and in 2025, Rhythmix was born.
